Paid Roles
Head Grounds-person (can be part-time or full time)
This role is to oversee all the pitches on the site (grass and 3G) for football and rugby, and also supervise a team of part time volunteers. It will involve maintaining the pitches and ensuring they are fit to play competive sport on them, as well as developing the quality of the pitches. It also invloves work on the pathways and surrounding areas to the pitches, as well as liaising with outside agencies regarding pitch improvements and grants. Details of remuneration can be obtained on application.
Core Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain grass sports pitches (cutting, marking)
- Co-ordinate with site manager for game pitch readiness
- Manage grass area maintenance
- Maintain 3G pitch and surrounding area
- Conduct weed and pest control
- Apply grass pitch fertilisation
- Perform site upkeep and litter picking
- Service and maintain grounds equipment
- Arrange external equipment servicing
- Procure site supplies and consumables
- Install and maintain sports equipment
- Maintain hard landscaping and seating
- Perform snow clearing and gritting
- Respond flexibly to site maintenance needs
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid driving licence
- Powered machinery operation training
- Equipment maintenance experience
- Manual handling technique knowledge
- COSHH understanding
- GMA Level 1 Football Grounds Maintenance (or willingness to obtain)

Part time Administrative assistant
This is a part time role for 2 days a week, to help with administrative and financial duties within the Club’s office. Duties will involve filing, completing documentation, answering the phone and taking bookings, posting invoices and banking money. Details of remuneration can be obtained on application.

Volunteer Roles
Grounds-staff (Part-time)
Supporting the head groundsman in maintaining the pitches (grass and 3G) for football and rugby, as well as doing jobs around the site. See job description above for head grounds person for more details.

Social Media Officer (Part-time)
The role requires a person who has good knowledge of social meda sites and marketing through them. It requires someone to develop the promotional strategy and calender for the Club and be involved within the Club to obtain information that will be useful to promote the Club and its events and sports.

Internal Communication Officer (Part-time)
The role is to develop the communication internally within the Club to all members, through the use of mail shots, Whatsapp and other tools that the person feels relevant. It involves laising with Board members, chairs of committees, the Club General manager, and coaches of football and rugby to find out what is going on and develop channels of communication within the Club.
